Both were married with the mutual consent of their families. According to the victim, her father spent Rs 35 lakh on the wedding. The marriage ceremony was performed with great pomp and dowry was also given. She reached her in-laws with her husband with new dreams of life. But on the wedding night itself, his dreams were shattered.

Fed up and fed up, the victim returned to her maternal uncle’s house and has now filed an application with the SSP seeking action.
