According to information, Gurmeet Kumar, a resident here, got married to Deepanshi, a resident of Nagla Beta Police Station Kurra, on 15 December 2023 in a mass wedding ceremony at Numaish Pandal. But at that time she was staying at her maternal uncle’s house. After this the two got socially married in the village on 19 February 2024. Gurmeet brought his new bride home on 20th February.

But two days after the wedding, on February 22, Deepanshi went to her maternal uncle’s house. At first Gurmeet thought that Deepanshi would return. But when she did not return, the groom tried to call her. The bride said she did not want to come back now. The groom was stunned to hear such words of his newly wedded daughter-in-law. He reached his father-in-law to bring her back. It came to know that Dipanshi is now living in some other village. Then he reached Salarpur by Dipanshi. It is alleged that Deepanshi insulted him a lot. Said – I will not go with you.

Not only this, Dipanshi’s brother also assaulted Gurmeet. Distraught, Gurmeet returned home. Then, a few months later, he complained about it to the District Legal Services Authority. On the husband’s complaint, the authority’s secretary issued a notice to the wife and fixed July 29 for the next hearing.

The couple is trying to reconcile

Gurmeet has complained to the District Legal Services Authority that when he went to Noida on July 1, Deepanshi insulted him and sent him away. Deepanshi’s brother also fatally attacked her. He called Dipanshi and demanded a reconciliation talk. District Legal Services Authority Secretary Kamal Singh issued a notice to Additional District Judge Dipanshi and fixed July 29 for the next hearing. Mediator Rita Nayyar has been entrusted with the responsibility of reconciling the couple.
