The work of the bullet train project from Mumbai to Ahmedabad is going on at a fast pace in the state of Gujarat. After Corona, work has really started in Maharashtra. The first underground station of this bullet train is being built from BKC in Mumbai, Maharashtra and a 20 km subway line is being dug from BKC to Shilphata. Seven km of this subway will pass under the Thane Bay. So this is going to be the sea route of the country. High quality construction techniques are being used for this mega project. 20,000 cubic meters of cement is being used daily for this route. So far 78 lakh cubic meters of cement concrete is being used for this road.

20,000 workers work per day

So far, about 78 lakh cubic meters of concreting work has been completed by 13 lakh large transit mixers. Such bullet train work has been made possible by the hard work of about 20,000 workers daily for the last two and a half years. This has boosted employment. 65 specially designed and built concrete batching plants have been built along the corridor to complete the ambitious Mumbai to Ahmedabad bullet train project. The Mumbai to Ahmedabad bullet train will cover the distance from Mumbai to Ahmedabad in 2 to 2.5 hours. The bullet train will be tested for the first time in December 2026 on the 35 km route from Bilimora to Surat in Gujarat. There are a total of 12 stations on this route and three depots are also under construction.
