Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday reviewed the flood situation in Patna and Vaishali districts. The Chief Minister conducted an aerial survey of the deteriorating situation in these districts due to the rising water level of river Ganga. Meanwhile, Nitish Kumar also gave necessary instructions to the officials. He said that the rising water level in the rivers should be monitored. He also gave a message to the people to be alert.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister instructed the officials that the Water Resources Department should be fully prepared and constantly monitor the situation. Keep an eye out for possible conditions in low-lying areas where water is rising. District Magistrate himself should keep monitoring.
Disaster management department should be alert
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that engineers should be fully alert about floods. Senior officers should keep camping at places. Officials of the Disaster Management Department are monitoring the scene. The team should keep in mind what the people of the area need so that people do not face any kind of problem. He said that flood affected people should be provided full assistance as per SOP.
SOP should be strictly followed
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that as per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), detailed guidelines have been issued to all districts and concerned departments, which should be followed in letter and spirit. He said that full arrangements should be made regarding operation of boats, polythene sheets, availability of relief materials, medicines, fodder, flood shelters, community kitchens, dry ration packets/food packets, district emergency operation center etc. so that immediate relief can be provided. can provide people.
Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Deepak Kumar and Secretary to Chief Minister Anupam Kumar were present during the inspection.
