The government delegation includes 12 people including five ministers. After Chhatrapati reached Sambhajinagar airport today, the delegation met him at the airport itself. After this he left for Vadagodri of Jalna.

Manoj Jarange Patil, leader of the Maratha reservation movement, has raised the demand that Marathas should be given reservation from OBC by defining them as Kunbi. Jarange Patil’s demand is to give reservation to in-laws as well. But OBC leaders fear that this will harm OBC reservation. That is why Laxman is on a hunger strike. Today was the 10th day of his fast. His health was deteriorating.

Who is in the government delegation?

Chhagan Bhujbal, Girish Mahajan, Uday Samant, Atul Save, Dhananjay Munde are the five ministers in the government’s elite group. Gopichand Padalkar and Prakash Shendge are also OBC leaders. A huge crowd of OBC community has gathered in Jalna Vadigodri. Huge crowd of OBC community at the hunger strike site. It was drizzling. ‘Government belongs to everybody, not to anybody’ – Dhananjay Munde

“Yesterday, in the cabinet meeting, there was a discussion with the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. The government has taken the issues raised by the delegation of protesters seriously. Bhujbal will put forward the government’s stand on this issue with authority. This is definitely something that we all feel. 8 months ago, there was no such atmosphere. We all lived with Gunya Govinda. Everyone lived together in the village. But for the last nine months, the role that the government is playing in the minds of OBCs in Maharashtra is the role of one community. This has created misunderstanding among OBCs. This is their food. The government belongs to everyone. It belongs to no one. The government does not do injustice to anyone. There was confusion among OBCs whether this understanding is correct or not. We respected your feelings. So we came today. Before that three ministers also came and went. Today, on behalf of the government, under the leadership of Bhujbal, Gulabrao Patil, Girish Mahajan, Atul Save, Uday Samant, we have come to put forward the government’s stand. Bhujbal will tell what the government will do regarding OBC reservation.
