A new pension scheme will be implemented. There will be an option to invest in a new fund. The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has started preparations to make the new pension scheme attractive to the youth. For this, the authority will bring a fund scheme called New Balanced Life Cycle. In this, employees will get a good amount till retirement. Under this proposed scheme of PFRDA, the maturity amount can be allocated to equity funds for a long period. According to this scheme, after 45 years, the government will invest less in equity funds. Now the government is reducing investment only after 35 years.

New Balanced Life Cycle Fund Scheme

NPS (National Pension System) In this regard, pensioners will be allowed to allocate more investment amount in equity funds till the age of 45 years. This will enable employees to create a good fund till retirement. We will launch ‘New Balanced Life Cycle Fund’ in the second quarter (July-September) to allocate investments in equity share funds for a longer period. PFRDA Chairman Deepak Mohanty said that this will allow more allocation in equity funds for a longer period.

If this happens, people opting for NPS will be able to invest more money in equity funds in the long term. In the last financial year 2023-24, 1.22 lakh new subscribers have joined the Atal Pension Yojana. This is the highest increase in any financial year since the scheme. They hope to add 1.3 crore pensioners to the scheme in the financial year.
