The government has introduced a policy on green hydrogen.
The Central Government had notified the Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia Policy on February 17, 2022. With the help of this policy, the government wants to increase the domestic production of green hydrogen to 5 million tonnes by 2030. In the long term, the government aims to make India an exporter of clean fuel. Green hydrogen is prepared from water. In this water, water is broken down into hydrogen and oxygen.
