Rajasthan will no longer call cows ‘stray’

In Rajasthan, the government has taken a big decision regarding cows. Here it has been decided to ban the words used for cow. Now in Rajasthan you will not be able to use words like stray and destitute for any cow. Instead, now the government has talked about using a new word. Now the word ‘destitute’ will be used for cow instead of destitute and stray.

Animal Husbandry and Dairy Minister Joram Kumawat said, “The term ‘stray’ will no longer be used for cows in Rajasthan. Responding to a debate on the grant demand of the Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Department in the Rajasthan Assembly on Wednesday, Joram Kumawat said that henceforth the terms ‘stray’ and ‘destitute’ will be used for cows. No, a rather baseless term would be used

Creation of Animal Husbandry Development Fund

Joraram Kumwat in his statement further said that the state government is also working sensibly for the conservation and breeding of cows and bulls. Jora Ram Kumawat said that a Chief Minister’s Animal Husbandry Development Fund will be formed in the state with a provision of Rs 250 crore. Along with this, ‘Mukhyamantri Mangala Pashu Bima Yojana’ will be started which will cover other animals along with milch cattle. He said in the assembly that cattle fairs will be organized in all districts in a phased manner for the convenience of cattle rearers.

653.65 crores grant sanctioned

The Rajasthan government has sanctioned a grant of Rs 653.65 crore for cow shelters this financial year. Cow Husbandry Minister Jora Ram Kumawat in his address to the Assembly said that the Rajasthan government will spend Rs. 653.65 crore has been sanctioned as a grant so that animal husbandry can be further promoted. Kumawat said administrative approval of Rs 653.65 crore has been given for grants to 2,843 cow shelters till July 22 in the financial year 2024-25.
