The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in Delhi-NCR.
Unseasonal rains are falling across the country. It has been raining continuously for the last two days in Delhi NCR. Drizzle and light rain at some places started on Saturday midnight and continued till morning. According to the India Meteorological Department’s Delhi Centre, the sky will remain cloudy throughout the day on Sunday with the possibility of scattered rain. During the night many parts of Delhi except Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram and Faridabad may experience heavy rain once again.
Similar is the situation in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. While the continuous torrential rains in the hill states have led to flooding in the rivers of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Punjab. Due to rain water in these three states, Delhi NCR is also experiencing rainy conditions during the day. Due to which the people here have got relief from the heat and humidity and the same condition is likely to remain for another week or so.
Monsoon blessings in Uttar Pradesh
According to the Delhi Center of Meteorological Department, the next week will also be wet. Monsoons are particularly kind in Uttar Pradesh at this time. It has been raining continuously for three days in the state, sometimes slow and sometimes heavy. According to the Lucknow Center of the Meteorological Department, the rainy conditions will continue in Delhi for the next seven days. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain with thunder in many districts of the state and rain with lightning in some districts. Similarly, landslide incidents have come to the fore in Uttarakhand on Saturday once again due to heavy rains.

Landslides in Rudraprayag and Chamoli
According to the Uttarakhand government report, landslides occurred in Rudraprayag and Chamoli on Saturday. Similarly, a red alert has been sounded for heavy rains in many districts of the state including Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar today. Due to incessant rains in the state, a landslide has occurred near Dolia Devi on the Kedarnath highway and large boulders have accumulated on the highway. Due to which the movement of vehicles has stopped. Similarly, the Badrinath National Highway has also come to a standstill at Kameda in Gauchar, Chamoli.
Landslides may occur in Uttarakhand
Similarly, there is an alert of heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh today. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of landslides due to heavy rains in many areas of the state. Apart from this, there is also danger of storm and lightning in many districts. In view of the situation, an alert has been issued in the respective districts. The state government has asked the disaster relief teams to be prepared for any situation. On the other hand, rivers in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are in flood condition due to continuous rains in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
