It is actor Sachin Pilgaonkar, who was seen in the role of Ahmed in the film. Along with being an actor, he was also the assistant director of this film. In an interview given to Khan Mein Kya Hai YouTube channel, he said that he directed many scenes of Dharmendra and Amitabh along with Amjad Khan. He also said that Ramesh Sippy used to shoot only Sanjeev Kumar, Dharmendra and Amitabh’s scenes. Apart from this, he and Amjad Khan together handled the rest of the work.

The train robbery scene in the film was also directed by Sachin Pilgaonkar. The scene was shot near Panvel on the Mumbai-Pune railway route. Ramesh Sippy was not there when that scene was being filmed. Ramesh Sippy used to come when Dharmendra, Amitabh and Sanjeev Kumar were working. He used to shoot there and the rest was done jointly by Amjad Khan and Sachin Pilgaonkar. The film was an all-time blockbuster at the box office. According to reports, it had a budget of Rs 3 crore and grossed Rs 50 crore worldwide.
