How did Divyandu Sharma get the role of Munna Bhaiya?
Gunshots will once again be heard on your mobile screen, as ‘Mirzapur 3’ is all set for release. The series is releasing on 5th July. While on one hand there is enthusiasm among people on social media for this series, on the other hand people are also seeing some disappointment. The reason is Munna Bhaiya. In fact, it has already been made clear that Munna Bhaiyya’s character will not be seen in the third season. Due to which his fans are a little sad.
Munna Bhaiyya’s character won many applauses in the first two seasons. This role was played by actor Divyandu Sharma. He was well liked in this role. But, did you know that he was not the first choice for this role, but he was first offered the role of Guddu Bhaiya’s younger brother Bablu Pandit. The same character played by actor Vikrant Massey.

In an old interview with Curly Tales, Divyandu said that when he went to meet the people of Excel Entertainment (production house), he was offered the role of Bablu, which he accepted. But when he was reading the script he noticed the role of Munna and then he was thinking what is this. This is definitely a very special character.
Divyandu said that a week after the meeting, he got a call from the makers and was asked, ‘What do you have to say about Munna?’ To which Munna said that it is very good to say about it. Then he was told ‘we want you to play Munna’. That’s how Divyandu got the character, which became so popular that when news broke that he wouldn’t be in the third season, people on social media started saying that the series wouldn’t be fun without Munna.
