Now the first passenger flight will take off from the Noida International Airport under construction in Jewar, Noida in April next year. Kiran Jain, Chief Operating Officer of Noida International Airport, gave this information on Thursday. He said that we will apply for aerodrome license by the end of this year. Efforts are being made to complete the calibration flights and validation process by December. In such a situation, there is every hope of starting commercial operations by the end of April 2025.
According to Noida International Airport officials, the length of the runway being constructed in the first phase is 3.9 kilometers and width is 60 meters. Asphalt and tarmac work has been completed on the runway. Runway marking, approach lights and air field ground lighting are in progress. The drainage system is made with special technology, so that water does not flood during rains. The runway will be ready in the next two months.
The front of the terminal is being built on the lines of the Banaras Ghat.
The work of the terminal under construction at Noida International Airport is also going on in full swing. According to Dinesh Jamwal, Project Head, Noida International Airport, work on the sides and roof of the terminal is underway, while the installation of the baggage handling system is also nearing completion. Major air conditioning functions including flight fuel services, ground handling and cargo have been completed.
