Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday sparked a political controversy by saying that hanging 2001 parliament attack convict Afzal Guru served no purpose. She also said that if the Jammu and Kashmir government’s permission was needed to execute Guru, she would not have done so.
Speaking to news agency ANI, National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah said that the Jammu and Kashmir government had no role in the execution of Afzal Guru and said “it serves no purpose.”
