Preparations for organizing Mahakumbh-2025 in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj are on a war footing. Other works are progressing rapidly in the Mahakumbh area along with basic infrastructure like electricity, roads and water. Like other departments, many new experiments are being done in the electricity department with regard to Mahakumbha. Along with increasing the scope of Prayagraj Mahakumbh, the government has also increased the facilities and resources provided by various departments. The Prayagraj Mahakumbh will be organized on the banks of the Ganga in 4000 hectares, the electrical system of which will also be different this time from the previous events.
Pramod Kumar Singh, Chief Engineer of Purvanchal Vidyut Parishti Nigam, said that in Mahakumbh, Rs. Permanent and temporary works are being done at a cost of 391.04 crores. This time the plan to keep Mahakumbh free from the problem of power cuts will be implemented. For this, hybrid solar lights based on solar energy will be installed in the fair area.
Hybrid solar lights will be installed
This time, hybrid solar lights of 2004 will be installed in Mahakumbh. This will be installed at all major intersections of Kumbh and Poltoon Bridge as well. By installing these lights, Kumbh area will not remain dark in case of power cut.
The Mahakumbh area will be illuminated with electric lights
At night, the Mahakumbh area will be illuminated with electric lights. According to Purvanchal Vidyut Vitraan Nigam Chief Engineer, the Electricity Department will lay 1543 km long power lines across the Mahakumbha area, which will include 1405 km LT and 138 km HT lines. 85 temporary new power houses, 85 DG sets, 15 RMUs and 42 new transformers will be installed in the fair area.
Electricity connection will be provided to 4 lakh 71 thousand people living in camps in the Mela area. In addition to the lighting system in these camps, 67 thousand street lights will be installed in the fair area. High mast lights will also be installed at all major intersections in the fair area. The entire Kumbh Mela area will be bathed in light with these street lights installed on the cantonments and roads. Even at night there will be daylight here.
