Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the talented actors of Bollywood. He has traveled from being a common man to becoming a special person on the strength of his acting. Nawazuddin has worked with noted Bollywood director Anurag Kashyap in films like Gangs of Wasseypur, Black Friday, Haddi, Dev D, Bombay Talkies, AK vs. AK and Ghoomketu. Now Anurag Kashyap recently revealed how he met Nawazuddin Siddiqui for the first time.

Anurag Kashyap revealed while talking to OKZ Theater that when he first met Nawazuddin Siddiqui at the railway station, Nawaz was carrying Rajpal Yadav’s suitcase. Anurag Kashyap also stated that at that time Nawazuddin Siddiqui did not even have money for food.

Rajpal reached the railway station to meet Yadav

Anurag Kashyap said, “At that time Rajpal Yadav had come to Mumbai, but he kept leaving the city for some reason. Actually, that time Black Friday actor Ashraf-ul-Haq recommended Rajpal Yadav to me. Remembering Ashraf’s words, I wanted to talk to Rajpal, for which we reached the railway station to meet him. Nawazuddin Siddiqui was also at the railway station with Rajpal. Nawazuddin Siddiqui was standing holding Rajpal Yadav’s suitcase. That’s how I met Nawazuddin.

The role of porter was given to Rajpal

Anurag continued, “Then I told Rajpal that we want to cast you in the film ‘Shool’, in which you will play the role of a coolie. Rajpal then agreed to the film and this film gave him his big break in Hindi cinema. ,

Nawazuddin Siddiqui has got the role of a waiter

Anurag continues, “After Rajpal was offered his role in the 1999 film ‘Shool’, Nawaz also started requesting roles. Nawaz told me that he has no money to eat, so he will do any role in this film. Nawaz was a waiter in a scene in the film with Manoj (Bajpayee) and Raveena (Tandon). If you see, Nawaz was very thin at that time.
