Bihar Vikassheel Insan Party supremo and former minister Mukesh Sahni is once again in the news. The political market has heated up over Mukesh Sahni after he changed the DP of his profile on social media platform X. There is talk that he may switch sides once again. If Sahni switches sides, it won’t be the first time he’s left one alliance to join another.
Earlier, Mukesh Sawhney had decided to switch his party and join the NDA ahead of the 2020 assembly elections. He then made serious political accusations against Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav and said that he has done backstabbing. However, earlier Mukesh Sahni wanted to contest the elections by staying in the grand alliance, but he was stuck on the seat.
After switching parties, he joined the NDA before the assembly elections. Where his party contested on 11 seats. Then he also said that the path has gone astray. Apart from this VIP also got one MLC seat. Mukesh Sahni then became a councilor in the Bihar Legislative Council along with BJP’s Shahnawaz Hussain. After this he also became a cabinet minister in Bihar government.
Two years later the decision was changed again
Mukesh Sawhney changed his decision to stay in NDA after two years. In 2022, Mukesh Sahni was removed from the ministerial post. After this his path gradually diverged from NDA. After this, he continued to pursue his party’s agenda for almost two years, but before the Lok Sabha elections this year, he joined the Grand Alliance. After joining the Grand Alliance, the RJD gave Mukesh Sahni three seats from its quota – Gopalganj, Zanzarpur and Motihari. However, his party faced defeat in these three seats.
Changing the DP is not an indication
VIP National Spokesperson Dev Jyoti has completely rejected the talk of his party supremo Mukesh Sahni changing the DP of his X profile and linking it to a new equation. He said that changing DP does not mean that they are joining any coalition. The tricolor and the country belong to everyone. Everyone loves him. Our party is in grand alliance.
The ruling BJP at the center has started tricolor campaign in every house across the country. In this campaign of BJP, all the big leaders of the party have put tricolor in their profiles. In such a situation, when Mukesh Sahni removed the picture from his profile and replaced it with the tricolor flag, the discussion started that he too has changed his profile after being influenced by this campaign of BJP.
Mukesh Sahni will go to Legislative Council!
There is also a strong discussion in the political circles of Bihar that Mukesh Sahni may become a councilor of the Bihar Legislative Council. There is talk that Mukesh Sahni may be sent to the Legislative Council on the seat of Sunil Kumar Singh, who recently became an RJD MLC. Sunil Kumar Singh’s membership of the Legislative Council was terminated in this monsoon session on charges of indecent behaviour.
