Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Ma said that the state government is committed to supply ration to the beneficiaries under Ghar-Ghar Ration Yojana. While presiding over a meeting called to review the scheme, Chief Minister Mann said that some people motivated by politics have tried to mislead the people of Punjab. He said this is completely baseless. He said no one has been cut. All the beneficiaries are getting this facility. They are being given full ration.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Ma said that he has sought a report in this regard from all Deputy Commissioners across the state. The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of great pride and satisfaction for the entire Punjab that ration is being distributed to the beneficiaries of the Model Fair Price Shops (MFPS) established across the state. He said that 1.54 crore beneficiaries are getting ration through 40.19 lakh ration cards, and this facility will continue all the way.

The Chief Minister said that gone are the days when people had to face huge hardships by standing in long queues to get food grains. He said that earlier people often had to face difficulties by leaving their daily work. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that now a new era has been ushered in by distributing ration near the homes of the beneficiaries. He said that with this the beneficiaries will not have to stand in queues to get ration especially in bad weather.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Maan said that this would not only provide people with nutritious food grains, but also save their time, money and energy.
