This year seems to be turning out to be a great year for the Indian stock market. Some experts hope that something similar will happen next year as well, but in today’s story we are not going to talk about the year but about this week. The market capitalization of eight of the 10 most valued companies on Sensex collectively increased by Rs 1,21,270.83 crore this week. The biggest rise was in the shares of Reliance Industries. This week, the 30-share BSE Sensex gained 1,027.54 points or 1.21 per cent. On Friday, the Sensex had reached its all-time high of 85,978.25 points.

Won Rs 53,652.92 million

In the week under review, the market valuation of Reliance Industries increased by Rs 53,652.92 crore to Rs 20,65,197.60 crore. The market capitalization of State Bank of India (SBI) increased by Rs 18,518.57 crore to Rs 7,16,333.98 crore. Bharti Airtel’s market valuation increased by Rs 13,094.52 crore to Rs 9,87,904.63 crore.

ITC’s valuation increased by Rs 9,927.3 crore to Rs 6,53,834.72 crore. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) market capitalization increased by Rs 8,592.96 crore to Rs 15,59,052 crore. HDFC Bank’s valuation increased by Rs 8,581.64 crore to Rs 13,37,186.93 crore and Life Insurance Corporation (LIC)’s valuation increased by Rs 8,443.87 crore to Rs 6,47,616.51 crore. Infosys’ market capitalization increased by Rs 459.05 crore to Rs 7,91,897.44 crore.

Contrary to this trend, ICICI Bank’s market valuation decreased by Rs 23,706.16 crore to Rs 9,20,520.72 crore. Hindustan Unilever’s market capitalization decreased by Rs 3,195.44 crore to Rs 6,96,888.77 crore. Reliance Industries remained at the top position in the list of top 10 companies. After that, TCS, HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Infosys, State Bank of India, Hindustan Unilever, ITC and LIC were ranked respectively.
