There was a terrorist attack on a bus in Riasi
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is searching seven places in Jammu and Kashmir in connection with Friday’s Riasi bus attack. The places being searched by NIA are linked to hybrid terrorists and over ground workers. On June 9, a bus full of devotees was attacked by a terrorist in which 10 people were killed and a large number injured.
NIA is searching in Reasi and Rajouri area in Reasi terror attack case. Details on the search are awaited. The central government handed over the investigation of this terror attack to the NIA on June 17.
The bus fell down after the attack
The incident is on June 9. A bus carrying devotees to the Mata Vaishno Devi temple in Jammu’s Reasi district fell into a ditch after a terrorist attack, killing 10 and injuring 36.
About the attacks, officials said the incident took place at 6:10 pm on June 9, when a bus returning from Shiva Ghodi temple to Mata Vaishno Devi temple base camp was attacked in Terayath village. The bus driver was injured and lost control of his vehicle during the attack. Authorities have detained 50 people in connection with the attack.
The Home Ministry had handed over the inquiry on June 17.
A few days after the attack, the Home Ministry handed over the investigation of the case to the NIA on June 17. The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba terror outfit, initially claimed responsibility for the attack, but later retracted its claim.
So far, Hakam Khan of Rajouri has been arrested for supplying food, shelter and logistics to the terrorists and helping them in reconnaissance before the attack. Earlier, on June 30, the investigating agency raided five hideouts linked to hybrid terrorists and their overground operatives in Rajouri.
