A sensational incident has come to light in Delhi’s Kishangarh. A girl committed suicide here. The body of the girl was found hanging in the room. She was preparing for the Graduate Aptitude Test (GATE). On getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem.
The police said that the name of the student is Riya Bharti. His age is said to be 23 years. Police said PCR received a call at around 8:37 last night. It was reported that a girl has committed suicide in Katwaria Sarai of Kishangarh. After this, the police team immediately reached the spot.
Rhea was preparing for GATE
Rhea Bharti was a resident of Bihar. She was preparing for GATE at IES Master Coaching Institute in Ber Sarai, Delhi. Friend Astha said that she had spoken to Rhea in the morning. During the conversation, Rhea said that her health is unwell. So he can’t come for the coaching class.
Aastha said that she called Riya again in the evening, but he did not pick up the phone. According to Astha, she received a call from Rhea’s boyfriend Parth Patim Borah. Parth also told him the same thing that Riya does not pick up the phone. After this he started getting worried and went to Riya’s room. But the door of the room was locked from inside. After this the police was informed.
The police sent the body for postmortem
According to landlord Dalbir Singh, Riya had been living with her boyfriend Parth since July 2024. Both also submitted the police verification report. Parth had gone to his hometown seven days ago. Riya was alone in the room. An official said that prima facie the case appears to be a suicide. Police are investigating. Police have sent the body to Safdarjung Hospital for postmortem. Police have spoken to the landlord and Rhea’s friend.
