TI issuing challan for contracted buses in Firozabad
Bus operators in Uttar Pradesh are openly violating traffic rules. Stopping the bus in the middle of the road to pick up passengers often leads to traffic jams and accidents every day. Thus, not only private bus operators flout the rules, drivers of buses contracted by UP Roadways also do not want to hold themselves back. One such case has been seen in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh. Here the traffic police challaned the contracted bus and found that the driver of this bus is a habitual criminal and 104 challans of this bus are pending.
The amount of this charge is more than the cost of the bus. After this disclosure, the police have confiscated the bus. According to traffic police, the bus contracted by UP Roadways was standing in the middle of the road at Jain Mandir Chowk in Firozabad on Sunday afternoon and the driver and conductor were loading passengers. Due to which there was a jam. Traffic Inspector Hemendra Rajput, present at the spot, asked the bus driver several times to move the vehicle forward, but he ignored it every time. In such a situation the inspector issued a bus challan.
104 Challans are pending
As soon as this happens, the server comes to know that 104 challans of this bus are pending. The penalty amount in this challan is such that two new buses can be parked in this amount. In such a situation, TIA immediately disembarked all the passengers and impounded the bus. According to the traffic police, the driver of this bus has a habit of breaking traffic rules. A total of 104 charges have been registered against this bus for red light jumping, over speeding, dangerous driving, illegal parking etc. Challans have been continuously issued on these buses since 2018.

However, the challan amount is not paid by the bus driver. However, this bus is running erratically on the roads. Since the bus contract is with UP Roadways, it is usually not even verified. According to TI Hemendra Rajput, during the checking, the bus driver neither had his license nor did he have the RC of this bus. At first, the bus driver tried to mislead the police by saying that he had deposited all the certificates with Roadways. However, later his wrist was also exposed. According to the police, during the investigation, it was found that the bus was registered at Mathura depot of UP Roadways.
