In the film ‘Padmaavat’ released in the year 2018, Ranveer Singh played the role of Alauddin Khilji. He said about the role that it was a character for which he locked himself in the house. According to Ranveer, he locked himself in his Goregaon house for 21 days to prepare himself for the role. He also said that he couldn’t say much about it because it was a very dark experience.

This statement of Ranveer came in the year 2018. Then, in an interview with The Quint in 2023, actor Jim Sarab said that there are some actors who say, ‘You know, I got so caught up in my character that I had to go to therapy for weeks.’ “That time I kept quiet bro. You didn’t even know your lines that day, what nonsense.”

Nawazuddin Siddiqui supported

This statement of Jim is once again in the news and it is being said that he targeted Ranveer Singh with this statement. It is worth mentioning that Jim also worked in ‘Padmaavat’. He played the character of Malik Kafur. We can’t tell if his statement was meant for Ranveer or not, but now a statement has come from Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is being heard saying that Nawaz has supported Ranveer.

Nawaz said in Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, “People who are calling him fake, have they bothered to understand the actor’s process? When he was creating the character, did he try to understand how he was living his life? They are just judging him. We don’t know what a person is thinking when they come up with a character.”

What did Jim say in the explanation?

Jim Sarabh posted his explanation on social media and wrote, “I feel like it’s absurd to clarify this, but people are heavily participating in the video and article. Ranveer Singh is not mentioned in anything I said. The video bite (statement) being shared is during the promotion of ‘Made in Heaven Season 2’. It has been 5 years since the release of ‘Padmaavat’. For 5 years I have only had nice things to say about Ranveer – check this out. I still do. Also, this process is not attacked. I love the process and I love the actor. My video (statement) is making fun of artists who exaggerate their process. I am sure you all must have come across such people who talk more about their work than their work.
