A UP government minister has given a statement on the name plate controversy.
Controversy over the name plates of food stalls and cart owners on the Kanwar Yatra route in Uttar Pradesh does not seem to be stopping. After the interim stay of the Supreme Court in this matter, the Minister of AYUSH, Food Safety and Medicines of UP Dr. Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu has said that the state government is still firm on its stand. He has said that Halal certified products are banned in the state. An intensive campaign will now be launched against those selling banned products.
The Uttar Pradesh government is firm on its stand on the name plate controversy. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered the names of managers and owners of food shops, carts, dhabas and hotels to be written on Kanwar Yatra routes in the state. When the matter reached the Supreme Court, an interim stay was imposed taking note of it. The opposition also hit hard on this decision. Now once again UP government minister Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu has given a statement on this decision.

Speaking to the media in Prayagraj, UP government’s AYUSH, Food Safety and Drug Administration Minister Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu said on the name plate controversy that the government is firm on its stand. But he would not comment on the Supreme Court order. At the same time, he has said that action will be taken against those selling Halal certified products. He has clearly said that an intensive campaign and raids will be conducted against these people soon.
