What about Kalki’s first half?

Nag Ashwin on Kalki 2898 AD: Kalki 2898 AD has completed 12 days of its release in cinemas. The film has earned Rs 500 crores in India, on the other hand the film has earned more than Rs 900 crores overseas. While on one hand its VFX and action scenes are being praised, on the other hand the first half of the film is being considered very slow. Now the director of the Rs 600 crore budget film himself has admitted that this could happen. He has reacted to this.

While talking about the first part of the film, Nag Ashwin said – I know, there was this universal response to the film. Everyone says so. People found the first part too slow. This can also happen. But if people like 2 hours 54 minutes of a 3 hour film and not the rest, I don’t think it makes much of a difference.

Faced many challenges in Corona

The film faced many challenges as the film took off. Talking about this, Nag Ashwin said- his production work had started during the time of Corona. During that time a lot of effort had to be put in to collect money. The special thing about the film was that we made it with the biggest actors of the country. This reassured us. Also, I have worked with this production house before, so its goodwill has also come in handy, currently the film is making 1000 crores which can be completed anytime. The film will now clash with Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2. Kalki’s earnings will also be affected after the release of this film.
