MVA protesting the fall of Shivaji Maharaj’s statue

Mahavikas Aghadi is protesting against the demolition of the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Mumbai. MVA has marched from Hutatma Chowk to Gateway of India. Many leaders including former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Shiv Sena UBT leader Aditya Thackeray, Sanjay Raut, Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole are involved in this protest. NCP chief Sharad Pawar is also likely to attend.

In view of the movement of Mahavikas Aghadi, the Gateway of India has been closed for tourists from 10 am till further orders. MVA leaders will protest near the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Gate of India. A large number of police forces have been deployed around the Gateway of India in view of the movement. In view of the agitation at Hutatma Chowk, Mumbai Police, State Reserve Police, Riot Control Squad, Maharashtra Security Force, Surveillance Van Control Police, ATS, Traffic Police have been deployed in large numbers.

Mahavikas Aghadi has named this movement ‘Jut Maro’ movement. Workers started gathering at Hutatma Chowk. Tight police arrangements have been made. Chappal has also reached the scene. Sarkar’s effigy will be broken with slippers during the padayatra. The workers have slippers in their hands. These movements will be monitored by drones. Maharashtra Police plans to prevent the Mahavikas Aghadi march from reaching the gateway. Police are preparing to stop the march midway. If the rules are violated, action will be taken. Police are preparing to stop the march till Kalaghoda. Because it has a high security zone in front of it, courts, museums, RBI, Navy Gate and important areas are in front of it.
