Mumbai BMW hit and run case: Shiv Sena leader’s son Mihir Shah finally arrested, woman dragged on bonnet of car

Mihir Shah, the fugitive accused in Mumbai’s Worli hit and run case, has been arrested by the Mumbai Police. Mihir Shah was arrested from Shahpur in Thane and brought to Worli Police Station. Police have also arrested 12 other people in this case. Mihir Shah is the man whose car caused a woman to lose her life. Since then Mihir was absconding. Mumbai Police deployed six teams to nab Mihir. Besides, a Lookout Circular (LOC) was also issued to prevent people from fleeing the country.

A day ago, accused Mihir Shah’s father and Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah got bail. After the accident, Worli police arrested father Rajesh Shah and driver Rajendra Singh Bidawat. Both were produced in the Sivari court on July 8. After the hearing, the court sent Rajesh Shah to judicial custody and the driver Rajendra Singh to one-day police remand. Rajesh applied for bail in the court, on which the court granted him bail on a surety of Rs 15,000.

Mihir Shah’s mother and sister have also been detained. Both were detained from Virar area. It is being said that if the mother and sister have a role in the escape of Mihir Shah, they will also be arrested. After the arrest of the main accused Mihir, the woman’s husband Pradeep Nakhwa spoke to TV9 Bharatvarsha. He said he was thrown when Mihir Shah hit his BMW car, while his wife’s clothes got caught in the tyre. The accused dragged his wife for about two kilometers.
