Heavy rain will continue in Mumbai today.

Monsoon has started now. It is raining heavily every day in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. The situation is such that water-bombing is seen everywhere. From roads to railway tracks, there is water everywhere. Due to which the vehicles on the road can hardly reach their destination. Railways has also diverted the routes of many trains. The reason is the tracks filled with water and mud. Flights are also facing difficulty in landing at the airport. According to the Meteorological Department, this trend of rain will continue on Monday i.e. today. Badra will receive heavy rain with thunder and lightning.

On Sunday, local train services between Kasara and Titwala stations were suspended after trees fell on the track due to storm and rain. Besides this, water and mud have accumulated on the track between Atgaon and Thansit stations. Here also a tree fell on the track. Due to which Vashind station was blocked. Trains passing through here had to be diverted. It is expected that train services will resume on this route from Monday.

Apart from the railway station, the condition of the roads is also bad. Water has flooded several feet high. Vehicles are now seen running at a slow speed due to waterlogging on the roads where vehicles move every day. Problems like long traffic jams are also being seen.

The Meteorological Department said that rain will continue for the next three to four days. Heavy rains are likely in Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada from 8th to 10th July. Mumbai and its surrounding areas are in a flood-like situation. Some of his pictures have also surfaced. In the pictures, even large vehicles can be seen drowning due to waterlogging.

Yellow alert issued

Heavy rain warning has also been issued in Pune, Nashik and Satara, Kolhapur districts. Thunderstorm warning has been issued at isolated places in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Latur, Dharashiv and Nanded districts. Thunderstorm and thunderstorm warning has been issued in Jalgaon, Dhule and Solapur districts. While heavy rain warning has been issued at different places in Raigad, Thane, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts. Along with Mumbai, a yellow alert has been issued in Thane, Palghar, Raigad and Ratnagiri districts.

Preparations for relief work

Citizens have been advised to be alert and take necessary precautions in view of this state of rainfall in various parts of the state. Preparations are being made by the administration for relief and rescue operations in the affected areas to avoid any untoward incident. This period of rains can prove to be beneficial for agriculture and water resources of the state, but waterlogging due to heavy rains has to be faced.
