Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries suffered the biggest loss in market capitalisation last week.
Last week there was a major fall in the stock market, the impact of which was most visible on the market capitalisation of the country’s largest company, Reliance Industries. According to the data, the maximum fall of about Rs 34 billion was seen in the market capitalisation of Reliance Industries. Due to which the market capitalisation of the company fell below Rs 20 lakh crore. What is special is that Reliance shares have lost 1.67 per cent.
However, out of the market capitalisation of the top 10 companies in the country, the combined market capitalisation of 8 companies had seen a loss of Rs 1,66,954.07 crore. Apart from Reliance Industries, there has been a significant decline in the market capitalisation of two large government companies in the country, Life Insurance Corporation of India i.e. LIC and the country’s largest lender SBI. The market capitalisation of TCS, the country’s largest IT company, has also suffered a loss of over Rs 19,000 crore.
On the contrary, there has been a good increase in the market capitalization of two companies in the country. According to the data, there has been an increase in the market capitalization of the country’s two largest consumer goods companies, Hindustan Unilever and ITC. Where an increase of about Rs 13 billion has been observed in the market capitalization of HUL. On the other hand, the market capitalization of ITC has increased by Rs 8,400 crore. Last week, the Bombay Stock Exchange’s main index Sensex had fallen by 1,276.04 points or 1.57 percent. - The valuation of HDFC Bank, the country’s largest private lender, declined by Rs 7,095.87 crore to Rs 12,56,505.53 crore.
- The MCA of the country’s largest consumer goods company, Hindustan Unilever, rose by Rs 12,946.24 crore to reach Rs 6,45,808.65 crore.
- The valuation of ITC, one of the largest consumer goods companies in the country, rose by Rs 8,406.26 crore to Rs 6,19,829.37 crore.
