The students accused the professor of Vikram University in Ujjain

Vikram University in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh is in the limelight these days due to a controversy. Here a professor is accused of targeting Hindu students. Also, Hindu students were added to WhatsApp groups and informed about Namaz and the benefits of becoming Muslims. The accused professor teaches students as guest faculty in the Department of Pharmacy. As soon as the activists of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad came to know about this, they created an uproar in the university along with the students. Also demanded the removal of the professor.

ABVP activists locked the main gate of the pharmacy department on Friday. Activists alleged that Anish Shaikh, a professor in the Department of Pharmacy, discriminated against students. Professors give good marks to Muslim students in chemistry, but also fail Hindu students by giving them low marks.

ABVP activists made allegations

According to ABVP activists, a WhatsApp group was created a few months ago, telling students the benefits of offering namaz and being a Muslim. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad general secretary Adarsh Chaudhary said that it is wrong to teach religion in this way in the temple of learning.

What did the vice chancellor say?

The ABVP workers locked the gate of the pharmacy department. Akhilesh Kumar Pandey, Vice-Chancellor of Vikram University reached here as soon as he got the information about this. Prof Shaikh was suspended for 15 days with immediate effect based on the students’ complaint. He said that a team will be formed in this matter which will investigate the entire matter. University Vice Chancellor Akhilesh Kumar said that strict action will be taken against the accused professor if the students’ allegations are found to be true. He also appealed to the students to maintain peace.
