The Bharatiya Janata Party government of Madhya Pradesh has taken a big decision under which now the Chief Minister and Ministers of the state will have to pay their income tax themselves. The MP Mohan Yadav government has reversed a major decision after 52 years. This decision of the government will not impose any additional financial burden on the government. Until now, the government was collecting income tax from ministers and chief ministers.

The Mohan government of the state has now changed the old rule of 1972. A state cabinet meeting was held in Bhopal on Tuesday in which the Mohan cabinet approved several important proposals. It was also decided in this cabinet meeting that the government will no longer collect income tax from the ministers, but the ministers will have to pay it themselves.

There will be huge savings in government accounts

CM Dr. Mohan Yadav made this suggestion in the cabinet meeting, on which all the members agreed. Every year the government used to spend crores of rupees to pay the income tax of the chief minister and ministers. But now after this decision, a huge amount will be saved in the government account.

After the meeting, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said in a statement that the Cabinet today decided to scrap the 1972 rule, under which the state government used to pay income tax on salaries and allowances of ministers. CM Yadav said that the cabinet has now decided that all ministers will pay income tax on their salaries and allowances themselves.

State Municipal Administration Minister and senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya said about the decision that during the Cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav suggested that ministers should pay their income tax themselves. This suggestion of the Chief Minister was accepted and an important decision was taken in this regard.
