27 tigers have died in Madhya Pradesh in six months.
Madhya Pradesh gets the title of Tiger State. Madhya Pradesh has the largest number of tigers in the country. But the surprising thing is that most deaths in this tiger state are due to tigers. Sometimes tigers died due to hunting and sometimes due to other reasons. Madhya Pradesh has the highest number of tigers in the country at 785. 27 tigers have died in Madhya Pradesh in just 6 months.
Shockingly, as many as 10 tigers have died in the state due to poaching. Sometimes the tiger was hanged and sometimes its throat was cut. Ajay Dubey, who has been working for tiger conservation for almost two decades, says that in the last 10 years the highest number of tigers have died in Madhya Pradesh. Special Tiger Force has to be formed in the state. Senior forest department officials have to step in, only then this can be controlled.
The Congress party has demanded an inquiry
In Madhya Pradesh, politics is also going on vigorously over the death of a tiger. The Congress party is accusing the Mohan Yadav government that forest department officials are in collusion with poachers. All these things are happening under the protection of the authorities. A high-level committee should be constituted on the death of the tiger to investigate it in detail.
At the same time, the BJP is seen defending the Mohan Yadav government. The BJP says that Madhya Pradesh has become a Tiger State today only because of the tireless efforts of the Madhya Pradesh government. The government is continuously doing better for tiger conservation.
Mohan Sarkar constituted the STF
12 tigers have died in Bandhavgarh alone in Madhya Pradesh. An inquiry committee has also been formed for this. On the other hand poaching of tigers is the biggest problem. Hope the government will take appropriate steps to save the tiger. An STF team has been formed on the death of a tiger in Bandhavgarh.
