Women’s high voltage drama

A woman’s high-voltage drama was witnessed in Madhya Pradesh’s Betul district. In the card distribution program organized in Shahpur of Betul, the people’s representatives had to face the displeasure of the voters. Union Minister of State Durgadas Uike and local MLA Gangbai Uike were also present in the event. Meanwhile, a woman named Geeta Bai alleged that she did not get the lease despite applying several times. The woman said that during the election leaders come for votes but after the election they ignore the problems of the people.

The woman alleged that the Nagar Parishad staff threw her application in the garbage due to which she could not avail the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and residential lease. The woman also expressed her displeasure that even though her husband had passed away, she did not get the benefit of any government scheme. Savitribai, an accompanying woman, also said that she has been demanding the lease for many years but till date there has been no solution.

The woman told her story

After this uproar, Union Minister of State Durgadas Uike took information from the officials about the matter and assured to find a solution. He said that a committee has been formed to distribute the badges and badges are given only to those who are eligible. If there is any error then SDM will be instructed to correct it. Geeta Bai Joth, the woman who created the ruckus, said that she has applied for residential lease several times but has not received the lease yet. Also their pension has not been increased. She alleges that her plea has been ignored by the authorities. Her husband has passed away, yet she is not getting any benefit from the government schemes.

Demand for residential leases over the years

Savitribai Joth, who accompanied the woman, said that she has been demanding a residential lease for many years, but has not got any success so far, which is why she is very upset. In this whole matter Union Minister of State Durgadas Uike said that a committee has been constituted for distribution of leases and this is being done as per administrative procedure. Belts are being given only to eligible people and if there is any kind of mistake then SDM will be talked to to correct it.
