Insects are found in Poha
In Madhya Pradesh, incidents of contamination in packaged food products and the health of the general public are constantly coming to light. A live caterpillar was recently found in a Maggi packet in Katangi. Now insects have been found crawling in Poha packets in Jabalpur. The customer has filed a complaint in the customer forum regarding this. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the consumer forum has also issued a notice to the shopkeeper and the poha manufacturing company. This is not happening for the first time in MP.
Earlier, when a customer ordered Chana Pulao at a restaurant in Jabalpur, he was served Chicken Pulao. Similarly, at one place, shopkeepers were seen kneading the dough with their feet to make momos. The latest case is from Sahu Colony in Patan Nagar, Jabalpur. Pushpendra Singh Thakur, who lives here, has filed a complaint in the consumer forum. He was said to have bought Poha of VIP Company from a neighborhood shop. Expiry dates were also checked at that time.
A consumer forum has given a notice
The next morning, when he opened the packet to prepare the food, he found many insects crawling around. Taking this complaint seriously, the forum has issued a notice to the company and the shopkeeper. According to information, worms were found in Maggi packets in Katangi a few days ago. A complaint was registered regarding this incident. After this there was a case of making momos in Bargi. In this the shopkeeper was kneading the flour with his feet.

Some customers present there made a video of this incident and posted it on social media. Due to such frequent occurrences, a situation of mistrust has arisen among the customers. Customer Pushpendra Singh Thakur also appealed to the Food and Consumer Safety Department to stop such incidents in his case. Said that such a situation would not have arisen if regular samples had been taken.
