MP: Burari-like incident in Alirajpur, 5 people from same family found hanging

You may remember the case of mass suicide in Burari, Delhi on 1 July 2018. In this incident which happened six years ago, 11 people of the same family committed suicide. A similar incident was seen in Alirajpur of Madhya Pradesh on Monday. Here, the dead bodies of five members of the same family were found hanging inside the house. However, it is not yet clear whether this is a case of mass suicide or a case of suicide after killing 4 people.

Presently, after receiving information, the police reached the spot, recovered all the five bodies from the drain and sent them for post-mortem. The police are investigating the matter. The case is of Rowdi village in Guneri Panchayat of Alirajpur. According to the police, the dead bodies of Rakesh, his wife Lalita, daughter Lakshmi, son Prakash and Akshay, who lived in this village, were found hanging inside the house. Rakesh’s uncle first saw the bodies and raised the alarm and informed the villagers and the police.

Police are investigating from several angles

After this, the police reached the spot and questioned all the people present there. Police are trying to find out why the incident took place. Was Rakesh under some compulsion that he committed suicide by hanging his wife and children or did some outsider hang them all. According to Alirajpur SP Rajesh Vyas, when Rakesh’s uncle came home at seven in the morning, the door was locked from inside.

When it did not open even after knocking, he peeped through the window and informed the neighbors when he saw inside. After which the incident was reported to the police. He said that now the police is investigating whether there is any conspiracy behind the incident. Apart from this, it is also being seen from the angle of mass murder and mass suicide. However, there is no solution in this matter yet.
