More collectors were caught taking bribes
Lokayukta Police conducted a major operation in Rewa, Mauganj, Madhya Pradesh. The Lokayukta has arrested Mauganj Additional Collector Ashok Kumar Ohri red-handed for accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000. The Additional Collector asked the Revenue Court to decide in his favor in the partition file from the victim Rs. 20,000 as bribe, of which Rs. 10,000 had already been taken.
On Thursday, based on a complaint in this matter, the Lokayukta police arrested the additional collector red-handed at the collector’s office. After this action, there was an uproar in the Mauganj Collector’s office. In fact, the family partition file of Ramniwas Tiwari, a resident of village Khuz in Nai Garhi tehsil of Mauganj district, was pending in Additional Collector Revenue Court, Mauganj.
The additional collector demanded a bribe of 20 thousand
The Additional Collector demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 from him to get the court to decide in his favour. Of this money, Rs 10,000 had already been taken from the victim. After this, the victim complained about this to the Lokayukta police. After the matter came to light, the Lokayukta investigated the matter and it was found to be true and Mauganj Additional Collector Ashok Kumar Ohri was found guilty.
A trap was laid to catch them red-handed
When the case was found to be true, a trap was set to catch the excess collector red-handed. On Thursday, as soon as complainant Ram Niwas handed over Rs 5,000 to the Additional Collector, the Lokayukta police present there arrested him red-handed and initiated further action. After the matter came to light, the entire department was in a frenzy. At present, departmental action will be taken against the excess collector.
