Monsoon rains are becoming a disaster in Uttarakhand. Due to heavy rains, the hills have started to weaken. A piece of hill fell and debris fell on Badrinath National Capital Road near Joshimath. Fortunately, there were no casualties in the accident. Due to the debris falling on the National Highway, traffic in both directions came to a standstill. The administration has started the operation to remove the big stones lying on the road.

Many village roads, state roads and national highways are being disrupted due to ongoing rains in the state. The highway has been closed due to the collapse of a part of the hill near Joshimath TCP on the Badrinath National Highway. Debris from the mountain has come onto the road, trapping vehicles on both sides of the road.

Many videos of debris falling from the hill are going viral. Hundreds of devotees going to Char Dham are also trapped due to the debris lying on the highway. According to locals, it may take one to two days to open the road due to large boulders. However, administration and PWD department teams are making efforts to open the road at the earliest.

The area where the road was blocked due to debris falling from the hill on the highway falls in Uttarakhand’s Badrinath Assembly. A by-election is scheduled for this seat on July 10. Many voters and polling parties are said to be stranded due to the road closure. Everyone is waiting for the road to open as soon as possible.

CM visited Halwad

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Haldwani and reviewed the area affected by heavy rains. CM Dhami also visited Goula Par area of ​​Haldwani. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister has directed the officials to be on 24-hour alert and speed up the relief work. The CM himself is monitoring the heavy rains and calamity in the state. Along with this, all the district officials have been instructed to immediately go to the ground and help the people.
