MoUs were signed for setting up Export Facilitation Center of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade Kolkata (IIFT) in Chhattisgarh and Training Center of Indian Entrepreneurship Development Institute Ahmedabad. The agreement was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Industries Minister Lakhan Lal Diwangan. Establishment of Facilitation Center of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade in Chhattisgarh will provide guidance to traders exporting from Chhattisgarh. Export activities from the state will increase.
Export entrepreneurs will get guidance on items to export, certification of products, market information and at what price to export. The youth of the state will be imparted entrepreneurship development training from the training center set up in Chhattisgarh at the Indian Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Ahmedabad. The establishment of these two national level centers in the state will promote trade and commercial activities in the state.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that Chhattisgarh is a rich state in terms of mineral resources and forest wealth. The soil here is fertile. The aim of the state government is to establish more and more industries, increase commerce and trade in Chhattisgarh so that more and more of our educated sons and daughters can get employment. There is a need to connect educated youth with industries. Our youth will take steps towards entrepreneurship.
The Chief Minister said that our famous Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resolved to make India a developed country by 2047. In Chhattisgarh also we are preparing a vision document for building a developed Chhattisgarh. All possible efforts are being made by the state government to increase industry and trade in its state. He said that the meeting with the national institutions with which the MoU was signed today will prove to be a milestone for the development of Chhattisgarh.
Industries Minister Lakhan Lal Diwangan said that new industries and commercial activities should be developed in Chhattisgarh, which will provide employment opportunities to more and more youth. Youth can get information on how to expand their industry and how to do business abroad. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, active efforts are being made to set up more and more industries in the state. It is the intention of the state government that Chhattisgarh should be prominent in the field of industries. He said that Chief Minister Shri Sai has taken quick decisions for the development of Chhattisgarh. Modiji’s guarantee has ended in a very short time.
Ankit Anand, Secretary, Department of Commerce and Industry, State Government, and Head of IIFT Kolkata, Dr. Rangarajan and Director General of EDII Dr. Sunil Shukla signed the MoU for setting up a training center of Indian Entrepreneurship Development Institute Ahmedabad (EDII).
For the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade to run the Facilitation Centre, the State Government will allocate space at Udyog Bhawan, Raipur over a period of three years and about Rs. 75 lakh will be given. Similarly, the state government has provided space for setting up a training center of Indian Entrepreneurship Development Institute Ahmedabad (EDII) and approximately Rs. 3.25 crore will be given.
Ankit Anand said that the state does not have a proper organization for the development of exports and entrepreneurship. With their establishment this deficiency will be removed. An annual expenditure of approximately Rs. 2 to 2.5 crore will be spent. Similarly, the operations of the Export Facilitation Center cost approximately Rs. 25 to 30 lakhs will be spent. The establishment of these two centers will have a far-reaching impact in the area of ​​export promotion and entrepreneurship development in Chhattisgarh.
EDII Director General Dr. Sunil Shukla said, the training center will guide the local organizations of Chhattisgarh in building business models, creating a network of mentors, setting up new ventures and expanding existing industries. Our effort is to reach 3500 youth of the state. Head of IITF Kolkata Dr. K. Rangarajan said that our effort will be to double the export from Chhattisgarh. He said that traders from Chhattisgarh will be able to export goods and products directly from Chhattisgarh. Training facilities will be provided to entrepreneurs in digital and personal mode.
