Pooja Entertainment owners Vashu Bhagnani and Jackie Bhagnani have been in the news for the past few days. Media reports said that Vashu Bhagnani is selling his Pooja Entertainment office in Juhu, Mumbai. He is also accused of not paying dues to the production house and sacking 80% of its employees. In the news going viral on social media, Vashu Bhagnani is said to have a debt of 250 crore rupees. But amid all these allegations, now producer Vashu Bhagnani has broken his silence. He has spoken about rumors of selling the office and layoffs.
Vashu Bhagnani said, ‘The office that people are talking about has not been sold to anyone, that office is still ours. Now only the office is being redeveloped as a tower, luxurious apartments will be built in this tower and we finalized this project only one and a half years ago. We were just waiting for the release of ‘Bade Mian Chote Mian’ after which we decided to redevelop the office space. Dismissing the news of removal of employees, Vashu Bhagnani said that now they have been shifted to their old office, which was very lucky for them. He continued, ‘We have been working with the same team for the last 10 years, we have not asked anyone to quit.’
The producers won’t budge
As far as the allegations of employees and crew are concerned, the producer said, ‘I have been in this business for the last 30 years, if there are people who are claiming that I am owed money, they should take action, come and talk to us. There are many ways to solve this other than rating on social media. If there is a big problem we will all find a solution. People can come to my office and talk, no one runs away. I will not succumb to any kind of pressure or blackmail.

Employees and ex-crew are not happy
Amid these revelations from Vishu Bhagnani, we tried to talk to some of his old colleagues and vendors who worked with him. An employee, who did not wish to be named, said that he hoped he would get his money back if ‘Bade Mian Chhote Mian’ goes on. But this could not happen. The film flopped badly. He also has the responsibility of his family and cannot act like this in future. However, the Pooja Entertainment employee responded in a balanced manner. But many who had left the company vented their anger against the makers.
After Vashu Bhagnani’s statement to a portal, ‘Instead of complaining on social media, let’s go and talk’, a Mumbai-based ex-crew member told TV9 Hindi Digital in a conversation, ‘For one and a half years, I have been waiting for my payment from Pooja Entertainment. am Meanwhile, I also visited his office. But from there the next date is given. Here they have no money to give us. And on the other hand they have money to throw lavish parties. ,
JD Manoj has said that I have worked on Mission Raniganj. The project was then called Capsule Gill Production 45. We worked for 3 days on a farm in York in the year 2022. But neither my agent nor I received the money. I was traveling for 4 hours to reach the set. I think now I should complain to BACTU.
Some portals cited the flops of big films like ‘Mission Raniganj’, ‘Bade Mian Chhote Mian’ and ‘Bellbottom’ as the main reason for pushing Pooja Entertainment into debt. However, Vashu Bhagnani says that hit and flop films are a part of business. On the other hand, Pooja Entertainment has also started production for its next project, which will be an animation series.
Will Akshay Kumar help?
Pooja Entertainment made ‘Bade Mian Chhote Mian’ with superstars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, which did not do well at the box office. Now some of the employees want Akshay Kumar, who supports the people of the industry in every difficulty, to come forward to help them and get their money and now it seems that maybe even God has heard them. While filing this news, a statement given by Vashu Bhagnani said that after hearing the news of selling the office, he received a call from Akshay Kumar and he is ready to help him without any conditions. Not just Akshay Kumar, Vashu Bhagnani revealed that David Dhawan, Sunny Deol and Sunil Shetty also approached him and is happy to see that even today there are people in the industry who come forward to help their colleagues.
