The Finance Minister has made a big announcement for women in the budget.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman made a big announcement for women while presenting the budget in the Lok Sabha today. The Finance Minister has said that the government will build hostels for working women to promote women participation. Giving a big gift to women in the budget, the Finance Minister has said, “We will facilitate greater participation of women in jobs by building hostels for working women and setting up daycare centres in collaboration with industries. Apart from this, women-specific skill programmes will also be organised and an attempt will be made to promote market access for women SHG enterprises.
The Finance Minister said that as mentioned in the interim budget, there is a need to focus on the poor, women, youth and farmers. Therefore, in this budget, special attention was given to women and many announcements have been made that the Modi government has allocated more than Rs 3 lakh crore in the budget for schemes that benefit women.
