A hospital has been built on the disputed land.
Ramesh Chand Bind, a former MP and SP leader from Uttar Pradesh’s Bhadohi, is accused of forcibly occupying the land and building a palatial house. A 100-bed multispecialty hospital is running in the house. The victim complained to Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, leading to a ruckus when the revenue team arrived to measure the land. The former MP is accused of occupying more land than the registry by virtue of being an MLA in the BSP government. A team of revenue department will survey the land and hand over the report to the higher authorities soon. The former MP has accused him of political action and pressuring the BJP for by-elections. The case belongs to Baraundha Kachar Pili Kothi of Sadar Taluk of the district.
A complaint was made to Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya
After accusing former MP and SP leader Ramesh Chand Bind of occupying Baraundha Kachar Pili Kothi land in Katra police station area, the revenue team of Sadar tehsil conducted a survey of the land on Thursday. Tribhuvan Nath, a resident of Barkacha Kala village, complained about this by submitting an application to Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya. Accusing the former MP, he said in the complaint that in 2007, Narmada Singh’s wife Munshi Singh was given a land deed to the residents of Mission Compound. In the same Arajee number, former MP Ramesh Chand Bind got a marriage deed in the name of his wife Samudra Devi.
Accused of grabbing land while being MLA in BSP government
The former MP is accused of occupying more land than the registered land while being an MLA in the BSP government. The victim took the help of the court to stop the encroachment. In 2008, the court refused to take possession of the former MP. Despite this, he occupied the entire land and built a house. The victim alleged that after protesting, a case was registered at Katra police station in 2008 by force of authority. On Thursday, on the complaint of the victim, the revenue team of Sadar Tehsil reached and measured the land.
The revenue team conducted the land survey
The victim gave an application to Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, in which the Deputy CM directed the district officials to investigate. On the direction of Deputy CM, Tehsildar of Sadar Tehsil Hemant Kumar Bind has formed a team of 6 members for the investigation. Based on the complaint of the victim, the team went to the spot and measured the land. The surveying team included Deputy Tehsildar Pahari Rahul Mishra, Revenue Inspector City Mangala Singh, four accountants Santosh Saroj, Ghanshyam Kaushal, Ankesh Srivastav and Dheeraj Pathak. The team has carried out the measurements and the report will be handed over to the higher authorities soon, he said.
