Brother-in-law killed brother-in-law
A video of a brutal killing at a tea stall outside a railway station in Uttar Pradesh’s Etawah district has surfaced. The murderer and his son-in-law are seen drinking tea before the brutal murder that took place in a corner tea stall on the afternoon of August 31. The 54-second video clearly shows how the killer stabbed the youth one after the other and threw him on the road on his shoulder after killing him.
After 21 seconds in the video, the killer brother-in-law Jeetendra Maurya suddenly starts attacking his brother-in-law Rohit alias Sonu Yadav. Before people realized anything, Jitendra attacked him with a knife. Other people sitting in the canteen leave after seeing the blood. Finally he attacks the neck and cuts it. After which he carries Rohit outside on his shoulder.
He reached the police with bloody hands
After the murder, Jitendra went to the railway police station and surrendered. The killer Jitendra Maurya was taken into custody by the police with immediate effect. A help desk was set up in the railway station premises with regard to police recruitment. The accused brother-in-law reached the GRP police station with his hands covered in blood. Accused Jitendra Morya is originally a resident of Bareilly. He ran a plant nursery behind Etawah Jail for about 20 years.
Married to a minor
On January 3, 2023, Jeetendra eloped and married Rohit Yadav’s younger sister Neha Yadav. After this, the family members of the deceased Rohit filed a case against him under the POCSO Act at the Friends Colony police station. After 17 days of registering the case, the police found Rohit’s sister. In the court, Neha expressed her desire to go with her mother, on which the court handed over Neha to her mother. When Jitendra learns that Rohit has married his sister elsewhere, he hatches a plan to kill his brother-in-law. Jeetendra called Rohit for a talk and suddenly attacked him with a knife in the canteen.
Giving information, SSP Sanjay Kumar Verma of Etawah said that the accused has been arrested by the police. A knife used in the murder and a mobile phone have also been recovered from him. A case has been registered against accused Jeetendra under serious sections.
