Metro train service will start between Indore-Ujjain, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav announced

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the traffic problem is increasing in big cities, so the state government is going to take new measures as per the need. It has also been decided to run a metro train between Indore-Ujjain in this direction. He said that this would prove very useful in facilitating the movement of devotees during Simhastha 2028. The Chief Minister said that Vande Metro from Indore Airport to Mahakal Mandir will be a great gift for tourists and devotees in the near future. Different cities can join.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reviewed the progress of Bhopal and Indore metro projects at Samatva Bhavan on Saturday. After this he said that Vande metro, rope-way, electric-bus and cable-car will be used along with metro in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Ujjain for easy transportation. Under utilization of transport options, Ujjain to Omkareshwar route, Bhopal to Indore, Jabalpur to Gwalior will also be considered.

Vande Metro Circle train will run

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this has been discussed with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. Consensus has been reached to run Vande Metro in Madhya Pradesh. Vande Metro Circle will be a big gift to replace the old metro. Regarding the use of narrow gauge and other rail lines available in some cities of the state, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it should be surveyed and studied so that the rail track can be used.

Where will the metro run in Bhopal?

Metro train operation in Bhopal has also been tested in October. A total of 16 stations will be built in the Orange Line, of which 14 will be elevated and 02 will be underground. In the second phase, a total of 14 elevated stations will be constructed along the 14.21 km long (Blue Line) from Bhadbhada Intersection to Ratnagiri Tiraha. The third phase includes work of 9.74 km from Subhash Nagar to Karond Intersection. Subhash Nagar has a combined metro rail depot and an interchange station between the two lines, Pul Bogda. Commercial operation of metro trains in the first phase will begin in the coming months. The second and third phases will be completed in the year 2027 from the point of view of commercial operations.

Similarly, along with other facilities, women and disabled persons will also be given special care in the train. There will also be a childcare room. The toilet will have facilities like call button, support staff, ramp from road to lift, touch path and wheelchair for disabled people.
