People who became angels

A milk seller’s 3-storey house collapsed due to incessant rain in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut. The accident took place on Friday around 5 pm. People informed the police. The people of the area not only trusted the police, but also showed proactivity and themselves engaged in rescue work in Gali No. 8, Zakir Colony, Meerut and surrounding areas. After a few minutes the police arrived and then a rescue operation was started, after a few minutes it started raining again and the narrow streets became waterlogged.

A large JCB could not enter the street because of the narrow streets. Somehow, a smaller size (Bob) JCB was obtained. Debris removal operations were started. As there was no electricity due to rain, the public became angels and arranged a generator by themselves and brought it to the spot.

People became angels and joined the rescue team.

During the rescue, when work was started to cut the letters and extract the malwa from the bob, people were pulled out from inside. Sometimes the children would come out, sometimes the elders, SDRF and NDRF teams would come out and put everyone in the ambulance, but when there was no room for the ambulance to come out, people themselves picked up the stretchers and ran to take the people out. Held in an ambulance parked on the main road. As the rain continued to increase, the streets were flooded and the number of people also increased.

Even SDRF and NDRF vehicles could not enter, the distance from the house to the main road was also considerable, making it time-consuming to walk. So, people took out their two wheelers and started bringing teams of SDRF and NDRF in two wheelers. Such people helped throughout the night. When Sajid, a famous milk merchant of the area, was found dead, there was no way for an ambulance to go. The people picked up the stretcher along with the staff of the 108 ambulance and took it to the ambulance which was parked about 500 meters outside the road. However, Sajid died before reaching the hospital.
