There does not seem to be any control over copying in Uttar Pradesh. A fake mafia network is spread across the state. From police recruitment exam to NEET exam, cheating mafia was rampant. Fake mafia also has its roots in many districts of Purvanchal. An example of this was seen in the D.El.Ed examination in Azamgarh. A sensational case of mass copying has come to light in a college here.
A joint team of police and SOG conducted the raid on information of cheating during the D.El.Ed.examination. Meanwhile, the police have detained 12 people, including the principal of Rajendra Memorial Inter College Sethwal, on charges of fraud. The police have also recovered Rs 18 lakh from them.
Money was taken from the students in lieu of cheating
Area Officer Nagar Gaurav Sharma said that the raid was conducted by SOG and a joint team in which. Copying was being done during the exam and facility fee was also charged from the students. During the raid, the police arrested a dozen people, including the principal of Rajendra Memorial Inter College, Sethwal. About 18 lakh rupees cash has been recovered from the accused. Education mafias were seen near police stations till late night.
12 people arrested, 18 lakh rupees recovered
Superintendent of Police Hemraj Meena said that information was received that mass copying was being done at Rajendra Smark Inter College. The raid was conducted by a joint team of police, revenue department and education department. A total of 12 people including the principal were arrested from the spot. 18 lakh rupees have been recovered from them. He said that the examinations which were conducted earlier will also be included in the investigation. Strict action will be taken against the culprits.
