A mother-in-law and father-in-law crushed their son-in-law to death with a brick in Uttar Pradesh’s Auraiya. The dead body was thrown in a chamber built in the house. The deceased had a court marriage with his daughter and belonged to a different religion. After marriage, both lived in another city. The daughter’s mother had called both of them home on some pretext. At night the son-in-law was given a meal in his sleep. The daughter slept on the terrace. After that, taking advantage of the opportunity, he killed his son-in-law. The police have conducted the postmortem of the dead body. Accused mother-in-law and father-in-law have been arrested.
The police revealed the murder within 24 hours and arrested the accused. The SP has offered a reward of Rs 25,000 to the police team that discloses the information. The incident took place in Ashok Nagar of Ajitmal Kotwali area of Auraiya district. On Friday, the police received information that the body of a young man was found in the chamber near Samar Sebil of the house of Arvind Sharma, a resident of this place. As soon as the information was received, Kotwali Police Area Officer Ajithmal and Superintendent of Police Charu Nigam reached the spot. He took possession of the body and identified it.
The landlord was taken into custody
The owner of the house where the police found the body was drunk, due to which he could not speak. The police took him into custody. A joint team of SOG and Ajitmal police station of the district was formed to crack the murder case. Evidence was collected from the scene. The incident came to light after strict questioning of the detained house owner.
The deceased belonged to Fatehpur district
Disclosing the incident, Auraiya Superintendent of Police Charu Nigam said the deceased has been identified as Miraj Ansari, son of Riyaz Ahmed, a resident of Mohalla Mughal Town, Bindaki District Fatehpur. Miraj was in touch with accused Arvind Sharma’s daughter Mandvi for 2 years. Both loved each other and wanted to get married. Mandvi’s parents came to know about this. He hastily got Mandvi married to Sanjeev Kumar, a resident of Bharthana in Etawah district.
The deceased had a love marriage
After the marriage, Mandvi stayed at her in-laws house for barely 15 days. He came back to his maternal uncle’s house. During this period Mandvi and Miraj kept seeing each other. Meanwhile, Mandvi had gone somewhere with Miraj. Police inquiries revealed that both were married. Meanwhile, Mandvi’s father filed a missing complaint with the police. The daughter was constantly in touch with her mother Jyoti Sharma. Jyoti gave full information to her husband Arvind. Together, they made a plan to kill Mirage.
Mother called daughter and son-in-law
One day Jyoti called her daughter and said that her father has gone out, they both should come home. On September 2, Mandvi came to her maternal uncle’s house with her husband Miraj. On the night of 4th September, he sent his son and Mandvi to a relative’s house and gave Miraj sleeping pills in her meal. After this he fell unconscious. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Arvind and Jyoti killed him by hitting him on the head with a brick.
The murdered body was thrown into the chamber
After the murder, the blood was cleaned with a cloth with the intention of destroying the evidence. The body was thrown in the room near Samar Sabil of the house. They told the neighbors that a stranger came and fell into the pit and died. The police informed Miraj Ansari’s family. He came to Ajitmal Police Station and filed a written complaint and filed a case against Arvind Sharma and Jyoti Sharma.
