Markets rally ahead of Budget, Sensex and Nifty hit new records

Indian stock market opened on a positive note on Tuesday with Sensex and Nifty hitting their new all-time high in early trade. BSE-listed 30-share Sensex surged 379.68 points in early trade to hit a record high of 79,855.87 points. Nifty hit a record high of 24,236.35 points with a gain of 94.4 points. However, in the pre-open market, the Sensex had touched the level of 80,129 at 9.02 pm. Following this, even after the day’s trading began in the market, Sensex and Nifty hit a new all-time high. However, there is no trading in the pre-open session.

Sensex surpasses 80,000 in pre-opening

Sensex Nifty hits record high

As soon as trading began on the stock market on Tuesday, BSE Sensex opened at 79,687.49, rising 211.30 points from its previous close and within a few minutes it hit a new high of 79,855.87. Thus, with the opening, Nifty surged 60.20 points and hit a new all-time high of 24,202.20. Currently, at 10:31 am, the Sensex is trading at 79,478.82.

There was an increase in these shares.

Among the companies listed on Sensex, shares of HCL Technologies, Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Bharti Airtel, HDFC Bank and Power Grid were the top gainers. Shares of Tata Motors, Bajaj Finance, Kotak Mahindra Bank and ICICI Bank remained in the red.

The indices opened higher and hit record highs but soon started posting gains and the indices gave up their initial gains and started trading in negative territory.

World market situation

In Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng and China’s Shanghai Composite gained, while South Korea’s Kospi lost. Brent crude futures, the global oil standard, were trading at $86.80 a barrel with a gain of 0.23 per cent. According to market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were sellers in the capital market on Monday and sold shares worth a net Rs 426.03 crore.
