Decades ago a film was released, titled ‘Do Aankhe Barah Haat’. However, this was just the name of the film. There is a person in Patna, the capital of Bihar, who has two eyes, two arms and legs, but his fingers are not as long as a normal person. In fact, because of these finger numbers of Patna resident Manish Kumar, his name is now going to be included in the ‘India Book of Records’. For this information has been provided by India Book of Records.
Manish Kumar, a resident of Patna’s Kankarbagh area, has 25 fingers, not 20, 21 or 22, including hands and feet. Manish has seven fingers on both his hands, while he has six on one foot and five on the other. Manish is in news only because of his unique physical achievement. Manish’s height is five feet.
Manish faced many difficulties
Even the famous Manish had to face many difficulties due to his unique physical structure. Manish says nature made me like this, it is not my fault, but because of this I am suffering a lot since childhood. When I was in school, my friends used to tease and taunt me a lot. I fought with them to some extent. Later I accepted the torture of my friends. However, my friends also understood this and stopped teasing me after seeing my state of mind.

Manish’s other siblings are quite normal
Interestingly, Manish has two brothers and one sister. All except Manish are normal. Manish’s mother is an ordinary housewife, while his father owns a small business. Manish says that after completing his studies from Gaya College, he tried for a government job, but was unsuccessful. After this he learned typing and started his own business.
Fingers are both a blessing and a curse
Manish considers the unique form given by nature as a curse as well as a blessing. He says that when he was studying in school, everyone used to taunt him. When I grew up, those fingers became my identity. Only fingers were discussed among people. Due to which people started to recognize him. When I completed my studies, I applied for a government job and also took the exam, but was unsuccessful. After this decided to become self employed.
Didn’t get a job, then started self employment
When I decided to become self-employed, typing was the best option for me according to my body type, says Manish. For this I decided to learn typing. Although initially I had a lot of trouble typing. Because a normal human hand has ten fingers. Typing goes accordingly, but I have seven fingers on both hands. It was very difficult to type letters. Then I took it as a challenge.
Today I am able to type. I do typing work in Kankadbag itself. I can type comfortably even though my speed is a bit slower than normal people. Manish says, I have problem wearing shoes. That’s why I mostly wear chappals or sandals. Apart from my job, I also do typing work for a lawyer. I also earn some money from this.
Happy as God made us
I used to feel bad when I was taunted, but I also met some people who boosted my courage, says Manish. He used to say that you are very lucky to have so many fingers on both hands. He also says, initially I felt very bad, but after doing so much God has given me a lot, then I am happy with it. My mindset is to always do well and be positive.
Own business and typing
Despite his unique appearance, Manish did not give up. His family is a very ordinary family and financially weak as well. Despite his disability, today Manish has his own small business. Along with this, Manish also does typing work. They say my speed is a little slower than the average person, but I can do it.
Name in India Book of Records!
Manish says that he has been hearing about his fingers since childhood, but he never thought that his name would be included in the record books. A friend said this could be a record. The India Book of Records team was then informed about this. They contacted and asked for videos and documents, which I provided. Now a reply mail has also come from him. Some more processing needs to be completed. After this his name can be included in this record book.
Manish’s request
Unlike a normal human being, Manish has tried his best to write his own destiny, but Manish also has a request. He says, he tried several times for a state government job but was unsuccessful. I request the government to think seriously about people like us so that we too can have the facility to live a normal life.
