Actress Mandira Bedi lost her husband Raj Kaushal in 2021. After the death of her husband, Mandira had not yet expressed openly about this. She kept avoiding talking about Raj Kaushal. But now she has spoken openly about her husband for the first time. In an interview to ‘Humans of Bombay’, Mandira told how she overcame this difficult time and how is she living her life now? Raj Kaushal died of a severe heart attack in June 2021. Three years after her husband’s death, Mandira expressed her feelings in this interview. She said that whenever I mentioned my husband, tears would come to my eyes, due to which I did not have the courage to speak.

In this interview, Mandira told that the first year after Raj’s death was the most difficult for her. But now everything is slowly getting better. She said, “I and my children think about him every day. It is not that I have forgotten him.” The first year was very, very, very difficult. It is very difficult to deal with the first thing. First birthday, first anniversary, first Diwali, first Christmas. The second was a little easier, the third was a little easier…’

He said that to overcome this grief, he threw himself into work. “There were moments when we would memorise a song as soon as we heard it. I got the therapy I needed. As a human being, you always try to move on. Now I can talk about it. I still get emotional talking about it. But I can talk now. There was a time when I couldn’t even talk. But I will not give up. I started working two months after my husband’s death. Because I wanted to take responsibility for my family. I had to do it for the sake of my children,” he said.
