CM Mamata Banerjee
An investigation into the rape-murder case of a junior doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College is underway, but the victim’s family is not satisfied with the proceedings. He says that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is not doing anything. The victim’s parents said they framed Sanjay Roy as an accused on the third day of their daughter’s death and said they would hang him. Apart from that nothing has been done.
When the victim’s father was asked if he was satisfied with the Chief Minister’s role in the case, he replied, ‘He did nothing. If we were satisfied with their action, we would not have gone to CBI. Three days after the incident, he stood up one of the accused, Sanjay Roy, and said that all the work was done. The case would have been tried in a fast track court and he would have been hanged but what happened to our girl. It was not the work of any one person. We are already saying that someone from the department is involved in this.
What was said on withdrawing the movement?
Along with this, when the victim’s father stopped the agitation and participated in the Durga Puja, he said that if he has the capacity, he should take the people. We feel that no one will go to Durga Puja this time and even if anyone celebrates it will not be celebrated with open heart because entire West Bengal considers our daughter as their daughter and everyone is sad. Apart from this, he also said that the money spent on cremation for his daughter has been released.
