4 children have died after drowning in a lake in Kannauj.
Four children have died after drowning in a lake in Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj district. Troubled by the heat, the children went to bathe in the lake. While bathing, all four children went into deep water. As no one was around, no one could save them and all four children died. Local people passing by the lake got suspicious when they saw the children’s clothes. Efforts were then made to evacuate the children, but by then the children had already died.
The case of drowning in the lake is from Samdhan town in Gursahaiganj Kotwali area. Four children went to bathe in the lake on Monday, but could not come out as they went too deep, resulting in drowning. The children were identified as Suheen’s son Shadan (12), Tanveer’s son Hasan (11), Junaid’s son Mobeen (10) and Abdullah’s son Shaheen (12). It is being said that the children used to bathe in the lake every day.
The bodies of four children were found
Even on 15th July in the afternoon, children bothered by the heat went to bathe in the lake. Then the four children went into the deep water of the lake. There was no one around. So the children could not be saved. Not long after the drowning, some local people passed by the lake and noticed that the children’s clothes were kept on the lake shore, but the children were nowhere near. The local people then got suspicious and conducted a rescue in the lake, after which the bodies of the four children were recovered from the lake one by one.
There was a stir after the incident
After the dead bodies of the children were found, there was a commotion in the surrounding area. The families of the children reached the place crying as soon as they got the information about the incident. The local people gave full information about the incident to the police. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot. After some time, Kannauj DM Shubhrant Shukla and SP Amit Kumar Anand reached the spot and took complete information about the accident from the family members. Also reassured.
The families of the dead children will be helped
DM Shubhrant Shukla said that information about four children drowning was received, after which the families of the victims were met. Relief amount will be given to the affected families under the calamity. Preemptive action is being taken in this matter so that such incidents do not recur in the future. SP Amit Kumar said that the family members of the victim were spoken to in this case. An immediate solution to the problem will be found by discussing with the District Magistrate to avoid any such incident in future.
